Engineering Jobs in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Posted by Sheryll Albino on December 13, 2009 at 3:55 AM Comments comments (0)

When I first came in Dubai 2005, I was amazed of high, extravagant designs not only of buildings but every wall of a tunnel has an extraordinary tiles seems like telling you how rich this country is. I believe that during that time, many people around the globe were informed about the growth in Dubai in construction field that makes it to be called “impossible city”. Discovery Channel has featured various structures in Dubai like Burj Al Arab (the only 7 star hotel on earth), Burj Dubai and a lot more.

Most people who were handling a visit visa were not really aiming to tour and enjoy the scenery of Dubai luxurious hotels but to search for a greener pasture and be part of the world's greatest construction workforce.

The most in demand job in United Arab Emirates is engineering, either civil, electrical, and mechanical. Whatever  specialization you have, as long as you are an Engineer, you can survive in Dubai and definitely with flying colours of Dirhams. From top management to secretaries of project managers to labours.

Heavy traffic is common in all areas of Dubai. Why? Because every 10 meters there was a road construction going on. Sometimes, you will wonder how sidewalks that were still in good condition would just be destroyed and be replaced by a new one. Well, that’s Dubai.

But when economic global crisis arrived, where construction of dream buildings were cancelled or was put on hold, the most jobless individuals in Dubai were Engineers.

If you still have a job, don’t ask for anything more, because having a job itself is a big achievement. Be thankful for the irritation brought to you by waking up early in the morning and feels bad about going to work coz its better than going to your office early in the morning to collect your final settlement as your employer has asked you to go back home.

CV Writing for Job hunting in Dubai

Posted by Sheryll Albino on December 13, 2009 at 2:16 AM Comments comments (0)

This blog will teach you how to prepare a stunning CV to search a job in Dubai or any other part of United Arab Emirates. In other countries it is “Resume”, but in Dubai, it’s CV. In the first page and upper portion of your CV must have your UAE mobile number (for others – it is cell phone number) and your email address. There’s no need to put your home address.

Your CV must include Highlight of Qualifications, Skills, and Work Experience with Job Description – make at least six to eight job description for each work experience. Then you can decide where are you going to put your personal details. You also have to state your visa status i.e., visit visa, cancelled visa, husband’s visa etc.

For free consultation (help and opinion of your CV), you may email me at  richmom.webs@gmail.com  and I will try to help you work on it free.
